On July 30, 2018 I was invited by the Naha International Hight School to speak and show some differences and similarities between karate, wing chun, and eskrima, but also about Italian and Japanese culture, particularly Okinawan. In front of about 340 students, I was first introduced by a School teacher, who listed my curriculum in detail, and then I started talking on my own, obviously in Japanese, for about 40 minutes about the topics above. And finally there was a brief demonstration of wing chun, which was attended by some students, and thanks to which I was able to highlight the characteristics of the wing chun in relation to karate, and the points in common with the eskrima. It was the first time I was faced with such a large number of people to expose my knowledge, and I must say that it was exciting. Thank you so much to the School Principal and to all teachers for inviting me and given this wonderful opportunity.
